Next up, we have a D-Link veteran in the form of Dhara Kothari, D-Link UK and Ireland’s Marketing Manager who has been with the company for over 4 years. Below we get a very rare snapshot into what it takes to run arguably the most integrated department.
Be sure to stay posted as we get to know the rest of the links that make up D-Link!
Tell us a little bit about your role at D-Link and what your day to day responsibilities look like?
I’m the Marketing Manager for the UK and Ireland so my itinerary can range from devising the annual marketing strategy, designing collateral to being on the road, attending events and visiting customers.
What is your proudest – none work/academic related- achievement?
At the beginning of 2017 I embarked on a complete lifestyle change focusing on fitness and health, which resulted in me running 5K for charity. I am going to further this in 2018 by running 10K!
If you were a chocolate bar which one would you be and why?
A Crunchie! Sweet on the inside, hard on the outside.
If you could create a new technological device that could do anything what would it be and why?
It would be a watch where you can pre-set your mood for the day. I tend to let my passion take over sometimes but I’m sure my co-workers would appreciate if I could tap my watch and be happy 24/7!
What would be the soundtrack to your life?
SexyBack – Justin Timberlake. (Did I actually just say that?)
If you had to trade places/ positions with someone in the office for a day who would it be and why?
Paul Routledge, our UK Country Manager, because I have always said I don’t envy his role but I am intrigued at the same time. Having said that- I think a day would be enough. Curiosity killed the cat and all.
Where is your favourite place in the world to visit?
My favourite city is New York. However, top of the bucket list is visiting the original 7 wonders of the world.
Do you have any hobbies?
I’m a complete novice but, Photography. Capturing those Kodak moments. I absolutely love travelling and exploring new places which, for me, goes hand in hand with photography as I can look at a picture and go back to the exact moment it was taken.
If you could go back and give your younger self one piece of advice what would it be?
I don’t believe in having any regrets so I’d tell me to do exactly the same, maybe with a bit more Gin!
Tell us an interesting fact/ joke/ your favourite quote/poem
